Affiliate Marketing
Flip Unwanted Domains
My wife and I are fans of the reality television shows on House Flipping.
You know the premise of these shows. Someone will purchase a home that needs to be renovated and then will “flip it” (sell it) for a profit. At least that is the theory. It doesn’t always work out that way.
This make-the-best-of-it financial mentality appeals to me for many of the domains I currently own. Instead of trying to create long-term streams of passive online income with domains purchased with an Affiliate Marketing mindset equivalent to a kindergarten student, why not “flip” this online real estate for whatever I can get for it and move on.

On The Affiliate Brink
There was a happy ending to this poor guy’s dilemma in what is one of the most incredible videos I’ve ever witnessed. Suicide aside, with the recent cuts in their affiliate force by the eBay Partner Network, BANS users must feel like at any minute they could be swept over the affiliate-brink. Especially if a good chunk of their income is dependent on EPN. I realize PepperJam is a fall back position for BANS users, but it still looks precarious at best and not an affiliate-ledge I’d like to be perched for any length of time waiting to be rescued.

Affiliate Marketers Beware!
This is how you know when you are finally gaining traction as an Affiliate Marketer. Spy’s from all over will world will do their best to rub you out!
I’m trusting no one. A couple of nights ago after finishing up another blog post I sit down to watch an episode of Seinfeld for the millionth time. My wife dishes up a couple of bowls of “Cookies ‘n’ Cream” ice cream for us to enjoy.
I let my ice cream melt for my phobia-induced allotted time and carefully dunk my teaspoon into just the right “Cookie” spot of ice cream.
Poking up out of the middle of a cookie is what appears to be a “cream” ice burg. I think nothing of this little anomaly at first. It’s actually a pleasant surprise.

Should I Read that eBook Review?
I received another email this morning asking me to read a review touting the benefits of an eBook I’m sure is loaded with true value. While going through my SPDR (Sales Pitch Defense Routine) I thought it might help some other “opportunity addicts” stop pushing the stuck on stupid button like I use to do.
Actually I haven’t fared too bad in the “sucker” column when it comes to purchasing online products. Yes I have purchased my share, but I have read absolute horror stories of online opportunity addicts going through their cash like it was water going over Niagara Falls.

Google Search Term Success
The launching of blog can be difficult. Especially when you don’t know what you are doing. That’s why we need to continue to seek out success-crumbs. Hopefully success-crumbs will lead to the Holy Grail of blogging stardom. In the beginning I’ll take a page one for the blog post I published on August 7th on a Google SERPS Page. Must be the search was conducted in another time zone.
Although I do have some major qualifications for this Google search result crumb.
The Google search term queried was (bans eBay) without quotes. The searcher used Google’s advance search feature to restrict their search results to 24 hours and opened up the results to list 100 per page.

Wordpress and BANS get Married
One of the things that has me excited about converting WordPress templates to work with Build a Niche Store is it provides BANS owners with a convenient way to publish content on a consistent basis.
Wordpress makes content publication a snap and support for the platform is rock solid and established. It seems every time I look there is another handy Wordpress plugin making the job of producing content a little bit easier.
With BANS hooked into Wordpress writing relevant content linked to store pages should not only become less tedious but also more fun. When used correctly Wordpress produces a flow of content production conducive to writing followup articles that weave a tight fabric of search engine friendly stand-alone pages. Categories, sub-categories and Wordpress tags all can be used to support posts and pages so that each post becomes a mini-site attracting visitors and potential shoppers for years to come.

Turning Lemons Into Lemonade
Ouch that hurt! My click rate on my Build A Niche Stores has decreased over at EPN (eBay Partner Network) the last couple of weeks. Silly me looks at the diminishing clicks and decides not to check into it further. Nope…everything must be hunky-dory, no need to worry my little head about a thing. It’s probably nothing.
Wrong.
Five of my BANS web sites went “ka-bluey” and I don’t have the slightest clue why. Here is an example of what they look like. Everything looks fine inside the BANS administration panel. I called my web hosting company and everything looks super-terrific over there too. This could end up being like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Meet My New Blogging Mentor
Well what do ya know, I found a blogging mentor and I am VERY impressed! I had to be.
Money’s not growing on trees these days. Handing over a dollar bill, to anyone but my wife, is tougher than amending the US Constitution. I can almost feel the flesh being torn off the tips of my fingers as “my precious” slides out of my grasp and into the hands of some undeserving stranger.
That gives you a picture of how impressed I am with my new blogging mentor.

Shifting Affiliate Strategies
It would make sense that since I sell coffee products on eBay I should have a blog about coffee, which I do. But once again Build A Niche Store was the main reason I started my blog called The Coffee Place, it wasn’t selling on eBay. I also wanted to see if I could put to good use some of the hundreds of PLR (Private Label Rights) articles I had loitering around in my hard drive. Yes I paid for them as part of a “buy out option” when I exited from the monthly PLR program I was part of.

Small Affiliate Marketing Successes
When you are starting from Affiliate Ground Zero it’s a good practice to pat yourself on the back every chance you get, even for the teency-weenciest, of successes.
If you’re anything like me and enjoying the type of affiliate marketing success I am, this is where you might ask that mystical affiliate question,
“What is affiliate marketing success anyway?”
When I enter the “Hunter-gatherer” mode and start searching for a crumb of affiliate marketing success within my vast empire of web domains, the financial reports section on the eBay Partner Network is the last place I look. Those financial graphs in my EPN account look more like a scene out of one of my favorite sci-fi movies “Flatliners”.
