On The Affiliate Brink

There was a happy ending to this poor guy’s dilemma in what is one of the most incredible videos I’ve ever witnessed.  Suicide aside, with the recent cuts in their affiliate force by the eBay Partner Network, BANS users must feel like at any minute they could be swept over the affiliate-brink. Especially if a good chunk of their income is dependent on EPN. I realize PepperJam is a fall back position for BANS users, but it still looks precarious at best and not an affiliate-ledge I’d like to be perched for any length of time waiting to be rescued.

A New Beginning

galaxyAffiliate Ground Zero is first and foremost a tool. Like all tools its primary function is to make a job easier to accomplish. In my case, the job needing to be accomplished is the creation of a “publication habit”. No small task indeed. The consistent publication of unique blog content can be a demanding exercise in creativity and forward thinking. Especially in a blogs beginning when rewards in the form of money and recognition are small or non-existent.

Faith plays an important role in the birthing process of a blog. Where there was a black hole in the Internets galaxy of blog-stars, today exists a new content mouth to feed. Blog-authors place upon themselves the responsibility for the care and feeding of that new beginning. The parenting of a tiny spec in the cosmos that is the World Wide Web.
