Content that Goes Kaboom
“Just writing” can be liberating to the production of content but “having a point” is good thing too. As I continue down the road of learning how to produce consistent content for blogs I need to learn how to use those keywords I slammed in my recent op-ed article “just write”.
Learning to leverage niche keywords, both for readers and my advantage, without turning my blog posts into a “Kaboom” Toilet Cleaning Commercial is an art form unique to the web. I’m not close to understanding how to keep my reader’s best interest front and center without seeming like I’m bludgeoning them to death with keywords designed to draw traffic and make me a few affiliate bucks.
In the words of my ancient Irish ancestors, “Tis a delicate thing it is.”
On the plus side, niche keywords related to the topic sure help identify reader interest and can put a web site on the search engine’s radar screen. On the minus side, I find it uncomfortably easy to slip into the master-slave relationship, with keywords being the master and me the obedient slave.
I have pad and pencil out and am in the process of outlining where I want to take affiliate ground zero in the near future. Right now it makes sense to focus on “how to create content” as I learn to market effectively on the Internet. It is my aim to share what I learn and my “writing-opinions” with the hope that whether you agree or disagree you will be stimulated to create content.
Sometimes my writing-opinions will end up being wrong and I will “fess-up”. I’m thinking of starting off by answering the tough question; “what kind of writer am I?”
Hey, I heard that.
