Content that Kills Action
I can’t write about teeth whitening! There is just no way Jose. I threw a blog on my BANS site “Whiter Smile Now” back in April with the hope of forcing myself to write a handful of sentences every few days on a subject I have zero interest in. Big mistake! Since that time I’ve managed to write one short blog post. Seems I always can find something better to do than write on the scintillating topic of teeth whitening.
Why did I choose a subject that means less than nothing to me when I already have wonderfully beautiful teeth?
Well, because an Internet Guru, who really does know his stuff, sold me on the concept of his niche blueprint system about a year ago. At the time I thought to myself, “how hard can it be to do some research and write a few articles on teeth whitening? Well that niche blueprint has done nothing but collect digital dust in my Computer’s ever-expanding F-Drive until this past March when I started learning to build a niche store.
Finally writing six articles on that horridly boring topic, was for me an exercise in self torture. I would rather have had a root canal minus the novacaine. The result of my effort was the now famous teeth whitening article, “Are At Home Teeth Whitening Kits Right For You?” and the less famous but equally interesting, “Teeth Whitening Dentist: Your First Step Toward A Whiter Smile”.
I dredge up this dark episode in affiliate marketing training because my entire concept of earning dollars online is changing. I’m listening to Yaro Starak these days and this guy makes some serious sense when it comes to blogging, the creation of pillar content and promotion of that pillar content through increasingly larger communication channels.
I’ve wasted way too much time on the technical side of affiliate marketing and while I have learned, I still have nothing to show for my efforts. It’s time not only to write content but to organize that content so it becomes helpful to my readers. What I’m doing now is simply forming a daily writing habit I can expand on. This really is affiliate ground zero.
