Elixir of Content Creation

The consistent creation of content worthy of the “publish” button on my Wordpress dashboard can be a daunting task. I admit to both disliking many aspects of content publication and finding it difficult to regiment myself into pre-defined times for creating content.

One thing I have found that helps tremendously in the stimulation of fresh creative content is drugs. The legal kind of course. Nothing jerks this old brain of mine into gear more than a stimulating strong cup, no make that two strong cups, of hot coffee.

No kidding. Coffee works in the production of quality web content. There are times during the day where if a terrorist had an AK47 pointed between my drooping eyeballs and screamed, “WRITE OR DIE !”, die would be the preferable option.  Writing creative and informative content ain’t for the faint-of-heart, unless of course you’re a bum-marketer grinding out re-tread sentences into meaningless paragraphs with the sole purpose of filling pot holes in article directories for link bait.

I admit to writing a lot of stuff I’m not proud of…but at least it bothers me!

I found this snippet on the effects of caffeine on the Web:

Caffeine is best known for its stimulant, or “wake-up,” effect. Once a person consumes caffeine, it is readily absorbed by the body and carried around in the bloodstream, where its level peaks about one hour after consumption. Caffeine mildly stimulates the nervous and cardiovascular systems. It affects the brain and results in elevated mood, decreased fatigue, and increased attentiveness, so a person can think more clearly and work harder.

Quoted from: How Caffeine Affects the Body

I love coffee so much I sell coffee products, one of which is marketed in the YouTube video shown above. Isn’t Chris Pirillo great? What a hoot this guy is….and talk about creative content in variety of formats and a unique style.

So if you are staring at the computer screen like a zombie, shake off the stupor and run for your coffee pot. I guarantee your content production will improve.
