These Guys Are Good!
I’m doing my daily homework from Yaro Starak’s Blog Mastermind course. Since I finished my second lesson ahead of time Yaro made me “Chief Mastermind” and moved me to the head of the class. Then he gave me special access to loads of other content created specifically to teach great blogging techniques.
Dream on Mark!
Every Blog Mastermind student under Yaro’s tutelage, has at their fingertips a plethora (forgive me, I was dying to use a big word) of “to-die-for” blog content resources. Today I downloaded a 54 minute MP3 file from Yaro’s Audio section entitled;
Bonus Interview: Brian Clark on Copy Writing for Blogs
Yikes…is this good stuff or what?! This is how out how of touch I am in the world of blogging. I didn’t even know who Brian Clark was. Brian is the creator of the mega-successful copyblogger website. Fantastic content! Each blog post on copyblogger is jammed-packed with high-quality content designed to improve your own online content publishing.
It’s a good thing I’m a humble-bumble and realize how much I need to learn about creating and marketing great content. To think I have to compete with the likes of Brian Clark is like a 20 handicap golfer stepping onto the first tee of a major championship with Tiger Woods. I may LOOK that stupid but I’m not. Blog Mastermind won’t turn me into Brian Clark but it does give me access to Brian and other top bloggers in the industry.
I’m studiously listening to Brian, taking notes and thinking, “wowie-zowie, this is all important, I’m writing down everything.” After a full page of notes my next thought is, “there must better way.” A bell goes off in my head and I remember Yaro also has a PDF version of this Brian Clark interview. Aaaahhh now I can copy and paste the best content snippets from the Interview directly into my Treepad notebook.
I am only finished listening to 18 minutes of the 54 minute audio and Brain has already given me plenty to chew on like;
- How to write great blog titles or “Headlines”and why blog headlines are key to bumping up the 20% of people who actually read your entire blog post.
- Why “readability” of your article is key to getting it linked to websites.
- How the more than 55 million blogs and advent of RSS News Readers have turned blog readers into “scanners” who judge will judge your content in the blink of an eye.
- Why unless your Abraham Lincoln blog posts longer than 250 words increase readership more effectively.
I’m glad I’m only in blogging pre-kindergarten and have a full 27 weeks to become the teacher’s pet. If I’m ever going to have any chance of graduating from the Blog Mastermind course with flying colors I’ll need all the help I can get.
