Turning Lemons Into Lemonade
Ouch that hurt! My click rate on my Build A Niche Stores has decreased over at EPN (eBay Partner Network) the last couple of weeks. Silly me looks at the diminishing clicks and decides not to check into it further. Nope…everything must be hunky-dory, no need to worry my little head about a thing. It’s probably nothing.
Wrong.
Five of my BANS web sites went “ka-bluey” and I don’t have the slightest clue why. Here is an example of what they look like. Everything looks fine inside the BANS administration panel. I called my web hosting company and everything looks super-terrific over there too. This could end up being like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Lots of work went into those BANS sites and shame on me I did not back them up. I will next time. I am going to post a question on the Build A Nice Store forum and see what kind of responses I get, but if it ends up I have to start from scratch I’m going to turn this lemon of a situation into lemonade.
I purchased both the Simple CSS and the Bans-Flex BANS/Wordpress themes Mark is selling on his website. If I need to rebuild from the ground up I want to put my bIog in the root directory of my domain name and my Build a Niche Store in the sub directory. Lucky me, Mark is also starting a new 5-day series on his blog teaching us how to convert WordPress Templates to work with BANS. Talk about timing.
I am sold on learning how to create content using a blogging platform. If it takes longer to earn an affiliate income by creating content first…so be it. I am aiming to be in the field of Internet Marketing for the long haul and want to learn it the right way.
But I’ll tell ya…seeing all that BANS work go up in smoke is one painful experience and one I’ll soon not forget.
